Katherine M. Loos has a balanced practice including mediation, plaintiff personal injury, corporate and insurance defense. She has over thirty years’ experience representing large and small businesses, insurance companies and individuals in litigation.
For 27 years, Ms. Loos was a partner in a mid-size Lafayette firm where she had a full-time litigation practice. She has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout Louisiana.
She has tried, as first chair, dozens of jury trials and hundreds of bench trials, many of which involved severe injuries. She has defended a large volume of toxic exposure cases throughout the state. For several years, Ms. Loos represented one of her clients in hundreds of satellite television piracy cases which were litigated in all of the federal courts in Louisiana. Ms. Loos has served as legal counsel for civil service boards and was recently appointed by the Lafayette Parish School Board to serve as a disciplinary hearing officer. Ms. Loos also has extensive appellate court experience.
